I'm So Low

I'm so low
How did I get here?
I'm so jaded, I have hated
Myself too long.

Who am I?
Don't Ask my friends
They only see what I wanted them to see.
I'm two sided, good and bad.
I'm afraid that they would cringe
If they could really see me.

I'm so low, how did I get here?
I'm so jaded,
I have hated myself too long.
I'm so low, how did I get so far
From who I was, oh God above
How can I change?

Who are you?
I ask the man in the mirror.
He looks like a man I used to know.
Who are you?
Asks the man in the mirror?
You look like someone I've seen...
Down below.

I'm so low, how did I get here?
I'm so jaded, I have hated myself too long.
I'm so low, how did I get so far
From who i was, oh God above
How can I change?

You are my Son
I hear from a voice above
And I recognize my father calling me.
I try to run, as he says my son...

You're so low, how did you get there?
You're so jaded but I never hated
You at all.
You're so low, how did you get so far
From where I am
But Son I sent my Lamb
So You can change!

I'm so low! How did I get here?
I'm so jaded, I have hated
Myself too long!
I'm so low! How did I get so far?
From who I was, oh God above,
I want to change!

I'm so low!
How did I get here?
I'm so jaded, I have hated
myself too long
too long

written around Feb of 2004, when I had hit the lowest point in my life and I felt like a waste of God's time... and I felt God reach down and lift me up out of my depression. One of the most spiritual experiences of my life.
